The Dolphins are now 0-7 in 2007. For all intents and purposes, the season is OVER. Bring on the 2008 Draft. Today’s beatdown was an embarassment as the Pats ran up the score to seemingly cover the 17 point spread. Adding injury to insult, Ronnie Brown left the game in the third quarter with a knee injury. This compounds the fact that Trent Green was officially ruled out for the season (and possibly his career) from the effects of last week’s concussion. A few Fish highlights were Jason Taylor’s interception return for a touchdown and Jesse Chatman’s 10+ yards/rush average–albeit both of these were against the Pats second stringers. Next week, the Dolphins travel to London, England to take on the G-Men. Perhaps Jason Taylor put it best, “We can’t win in America. Maybe we can win overseas.”

SAN DIEGO — The

The Dolphins woes continued this afternoon as the Fish fell to the J-E-T-S, 28-31. The much maligned running game was re-established today as Ronnie Brown was able to rack up 112 yards on 23 carries. The Miami special teams allowed a 98 yard TD return and squibbed a kick-off out of fear of another return touchdown. In a sign of early season desperation, Cam Cameron lined up Jason Taylor as a wideout and offensive lineman this game. Taylor was able to draw an end zone pass interference call (see proof left) and sprung a block that allowed Ronnie Brown to score 6. Zach Thomas missed this game due to last week’s concussion. This was a winnable game, but the Dolphins are now 0-3 and are officially on the NFL Draft clock. Next week, Miami hosts the rejuvenated Oakland Raiders and perhaps Daunte Culpepper…
The Dolphins lost their second straight game, 20-37 to the Dallas Cowboys. By the looks of things, the 0-2 Fish and us fans are in for another long season. The running game continues to struggle (61 total rushing yards) and Trent Green’s 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles didn’t help the cause. Next week, the Dolphins travel to the Meadowlands to take on the injured Jets. Should DolFans begin counting down to draft day or can a miraculous turn-around occur? Next week should provide us with the answer…

“Wide receiver Chris Chambers, the Dolphins’ No. 1 pass-catcher, is reportedly on the trading block, a move that could signal the growing confidence in the development of first-round draft pick Ted Ginn Jr. as a wide receiver.Although Chambers has not been prominently featured during the preseason, it is not believed to be because of any level of disappointment from the coaching staff. But the NFL Network reported that Chambers’ name has been popping up in league circles, and teams are aware that he’s available.Whichever the reason (disappointment in Chambers or confidence in Ginn), trading Chambers would be potentially difficult. Any interested team would need to take on his $7.3 million hit against the salary cap.
