According to engadget, the following video is for Nokia’s latest phone. Now either Nokia has licensed Apple’s touch technology, blatantly ripped off the Apple iPhone, or this is a hoax. My initial inclination is that this is legit as Anssi Vanjoki — Nokia’s Executive VP & General Manager of Multimedia is reported as saying, “If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride.” I guess when you can’t innovate (well, the flickr integration is nice–albeit helio did it first), you just rip-off in desperation. With Nokia in the convergent device mix, expect the Playstation Phone and Google Phone to continue to garner more attention, as is still the case with the iPod, everyone starts playing catch up with Steve Jobs & Co.
DeskLickr is a Mac application allows you to “Flickrize your desktop!” Seeing as Flickr is where I host my photos and the computer that I use most is a MacBook, this is a welcome addition to my set of applications. Below I have posted a modified version of my flickr badge depicting what my desktop background will now display.
