
BestBuy.com has finally added a Netflix-esque five star system that allows site users to rate and review anything available in Best Buy’s vast product catalog. Here’s hoping that this is just the first step in BestBuy.com’s transition to leveraging the collective knowledge of their user community. With such a large and established user base, they should be able to use this information to better target ads to their customers. Best Buy seems to have the best in-store experience with respect to its competitors. But has historically lagged online against the likes of Amazon and CircuitCity–both of which, who have established customer review and ratings systems.
3 easy steps to rate and review a product
1. Click the “Write a review” link on any product page.
2. Sign in to your BestBuy.com account using your e-mail address and password. If you do not have an account, you can create one now.
3. Rate your product and write a review. When you’re finished, preview it and submit it.
